Granville Island is hands-down one of my favorite spots for engagement shoots and proposals. Every time I shoot here, it’s like the place casts its own kind of magic.
Lighthouse Park
If you love dramatic coastal scenery, Lighthouse Park is a must. Massive Douglas Firs, rocky coastlines, and that iconic lighthouse make for quintessential West Coast vibes. The main viewpoint can get busy, but there are secondary rock bluffs along the Valley of the Giants trail that give the same sunset views with zero crowds. Whytecliff Park

This garden in Chinatown is an architectural gem. The paid side offers manicured courtyards, covered walkways, and serene pavilions, making it perfect for a rainy day proposal. You can still be outdoors and surrounded by nature while staying dry—plus the design makes every shot feel elegant and intimate.
Sea to Sky Gondola
If you want a proposal that feels epic and unforgettable, the Sea to Sky Gondola is hard to beat. Panoramic mountain and lake views, especially during a summer sunset, are breathtaking.
