A Romantic Wedding at The Teahouse in Stanley Park | Mackenzie & Mahdi

Some weddings are extra special, not just because of the beautiful location, but because of the people and the moments that make the day unforgettable.

Mackenzie and Mahdi's wedding at The Teahouse in Stanley Park, Vancouver, was exactly that.

Although the couple lives in Toronto, they chose beautiful Vancouver for their wedding celebration. When they reached out to me about photographing their special day, we connected over Zoom to get to know each other, discuss their vision, and plan all the photography details.

Planning a wedding from another city can feel overwhelming, but with good communication and a thoughtful timeline, everything can come together beautifully.

And their wedding day was absolutely wonderful!

A Beautiful Wedding at The Teahouse in Stanley Park

Nestled among the towering trees of Stanley Park, The Teahouse is such a lovely setting for an intimate and romantic Vancouver wedding.

What makes this venue especially wonderful is its location. You're surrounded by some of Vancouver's most beautiful natural scenery, with forest pathways, ocean views, and iconic Stanley Park landmarks just a short drive away.

For Mackenzie and Mahdi, this meant we could create a wedding gallery filled with different backgrounds and beautiful West Coast scenery without having to travel across the city.

Their celebration was full of beautiful moments, and I loved documenting their day as it naturally unfolded.

Wedding Portraits at Prospect Point

One of our stops for wedding portraits was Prospect Point, one of Stanley Park's most iconic viewpoints.

With its beautiful coastal scenery and sweeping views, it's a wonderful location for wedding photography in Vancouver.

I love incorporating the landscape into wedding portraits, especially when the surroundings are as beautiful as Stanley Park.

For Mackenzie and Mahdi, Prospect Point gave us the opportunity to capture romantic portraits that showcased both their connection and the beauty of Vancouver.

Romantic Wedding Photos at the Hollow Tree

Another stop on our photography adventure was Stanley Park's famous Hollow Tree.

This historic landmark has so much character and is surrounded by the beautiful greenery that makes Stanley Park special.

I always love finding locations that add something unique to a wedding gallery, and the Hollow Tree was a wonderful contrast to our oceanfront portraits.

The textures of the tree, the surrounding forest, and the natural atmosphere gave us a completely different setting for Mackenzie and Mahdi's wedding photos.

Beautiful Wedding Photography Along the Stanley Park Seawall

Of course, no Stanley Park wedding photography adventure would feel complete without taking advantage of Vancouver's beautiful waterfront.

We made another stop along the Stanley Park Seawall, where the ocean and coastal scenery created the perfect setting for romantic portraits.

One of the things I love most about photographing weddings in Vancouver is the variety of landscapes we have available.

Within one park, we can move from lush forests to dramatic ocean views, creating a gallery that feels rich, varied, and full of beautiful memories.

And for a couple travelling from Toronto to celebrate their wedding in Vancouver, these iconic West Coast locations made their photographs even more meaningful.

Dreamy Sunset Wedding Photos in Stanley Park

And then came one of my favourite parts of the day — sunset!

The light was absolutely beautiful, and we were able to capture some truly stunning sunset wedding portraits.

There's something so romantic about that soft, warm evening light, especially when it's paired with ocean views and a couple who are simply enjoying being together.

Sunset portraits are always something I encourage my couples to consider when planning their wedding timeline.

Even setting aside 10–15 minutes during golden hour can make such a beautiful difference in your wedding gallery.

For Mackenzie and Mahdi, those sunset photographs were a perfect way to finish our Stanley Park portrait adventure.

Planning a Vancouver Wedding From Another City?

One thing I especially loved about working with Mackenzie and Mahdi was that we were able to plan everything even though they lived in Toronto.

We connected over Zoom before the wedding to discuss their plans, photography priorities, and the locations we wanted to visit.

If you're planning a destination wedding in Vancouver, you don't necessarily need to meet your photographer in person before the big day.

With good communication, a clear timeline, and a little local guidance, we can plan everything remotely.

As a Vancouver wedding photographer, I'm always happy to help couples choose beautiful photography locations, organize their portrait timeline, and make the experience as relaxed as possible.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings at The Teahouse in Stanley Park

The Teahouse is a wonderful choice for couples who want a romantic wedding surrounded by nature while staying close to Vancouver's most iconic scenery.

And the best part? You don't have to spend your entire wedding day travelling between different locations.
