Iona Beach Regional Park in Richmond is one of my favourite places for family and couple photoshoots — and Sam & Jeffin's maternity session is exactly why. Wide open sky, golden sunset light, driftwood and long grass, and the mountains across the water: it gives every frame room to breathe.
Golden Hour at Iona Beach
We timed the session for sunset, when the light turns soft and warm and everything glows. Sam & Jeffin were relaxed, laughing, and completely wrapped up in each other — and in the little one on the way. Those are the frames I love most: not posed, just them, waiting for their family to grow.
Why I Love Maternity Sessions Here
A maternity session isn't about perfect poses. It's about this in-between moment — two people about to become three — in a place that lets them just be themselves. Iona Beach does that beautifully: space to walk, light that flatters everyone, and sunsets that never need a filter.
Sam & Jeffin — thank you for trusting me with this chapter. I can't wait to meet the little one. 🤍
