Micro-weddings are becoming more and more popular—and honestly, it’s easy to see why. So many couples are trading large, lavish celebrations for something smaller, more intimate. With fewer than 50 guests, these weddings often feel more relaxed, more personal, and a lot less stressful. But the tricky part? Finding a venue that’s not meant for 200+ people.


Luckily for couples getting married in Vancouver, there’s no shortage of beautiful spaces that are perfect for micro-weddings. As a wedding photographer who’s photographed over 110 weddings, here are a few that always stand out.

1. Stanley Park Teahouse

Let’s start with one of my absolute favourite smaller venues in Vancouver: the Stanley Park Teahouse. This venue offers two beautiful spaces that work perfectly for micro weddings. The first is the Conservatory, which can accommodate up to 70 guests. On the other side of the restaurant is the Drawing Room, which seats up to 50 guests. 


One of the best parts about a Stanley Park Teahouse wedding is the variety of photo locations just steps away. It’s rare to find a venue that offers access to forest trails, the beach, ocean views, and beautifully designed event spaces—all in one spot.

2. The Vancouver Club

The Vancouver Club is a perfect choice for couples dreaming of an intimate wedding with a luxury feel. This historic venue offers several beautiful spaces, including cozy rooms complete with a warm fireplace that creates the most inviting atmosphere for smaller gatherings. 


It’s ideal for both ceremonies and receptions, especially if you want everything to feel elegant without being overwhelming. Because even small weddings deserve to feel just as beautiful and meaningful as large celebrations.

3. Brix & Mortar

Brix & Mortar is such a great option if you’re planning a micro-wedding in Vancouver but still want it to feel elevated and special. The main dining room can host up to 90 guests for a seated, multi-course dinner, which makes it perfect for couples who want an intimate celebration without feeling cramped.


If you’re dreaming of something more outdoorsy, their heated and covered glass courtyard patio is a standout. It can seat up to 34 guests for a private dinner and is one of my favorite spaces for smaller weddings. With vines climbing the brick walls and a mix of historic charm and modern romance, the atmosphere here is unreal. It’s award-winning for a reason.

4. Celebration Pavilion at Queen Elizabeth Park 

Inside Queen Elizabeth Park, the Celebration Pavilion is easily one of Vancouver’s most charming spots for a wedding ceremony. Surrounded by vibrant gardens and panoramic city views, it’s an absolute gem for couples looking for a romantic, intimate space to say “I do.” And if you don’t want to just take my word for it, their stunning space (and the real weddings held here) will have you sold.

5. Pacific Yacht Charters

If you’re looking for something totally different for your wedding day, Pacific Yacht Charters is such a fun option. You can say your vows on the Sky Deck, then move through the yacht for dinner and dancing across three beautiful levels. Whether you stay docked or head out onto the water, it feels incredibly romantic and memorable. With an experienced crew, in-house planners, and amazing West Coast–inspired food, it’s a great choice for couples who want an intimate wedding that’s anything but ordinary.

6. Vancouver City Hall

City Hall weddings? I love them! And Vancouver City Hall is such a beautiful option if you want a simple, micro-wedding right in the heart of downtown. It’s perfect for couples who want something simple, while still being able to include their loved ones in the ceremony and sneak away afterward for some fun photos. It’s ideal for couples who love that downtown energy and want photos that feel effortless, stylish, and true to the city.
